Site Ride-Along

A point-by-point walkthrough of a franchise from creation onward — what to do in Madden itself, on the companion app, and on this site. Use the buttons below to focus on the path that matches how you play.

Beginning a Franchise	index.php			Click on "Start New Franchise." Fill out Coach Name and Year. Then either choose your team, take a coaching position that was open after the previous season, or go completely random! Use the default rivals, pick a goal, then click "Create Franchise."
Create Franchise	—	Create a new franchise, starting point Preseason. See recommended settings.
Beginning Your First Season	begin_season.php			If you are doing an online franchise, select "Companion Export." If you are playing offline, you can either manually write in all of your players, or use the default rosters from the game with "Default Rosters." Note: if you have files exported from another site, you can use "With Import" to bring in your own players.
Export Players From Your Franchise (Step 1)	—	Do NOT sign free agents, release players, or make trades (yet).
Export Players From Your Franchise (Step 2)	—			Type in your Madden Username, this will allow the site to identify your team from the imported data. Click on “Save Username.” Copy the receiver URL, and be ready to put that URL on the companion app.
Export Players From Your Franchise (Step 3)	—		Sign into the companion app. Open the “Franchise” tab. (Note: only ONLINE franchises will be available here.) Select the franchise you wish to export. Move to the “Export” tab. Paste the receiver URL into “Web URL for Export.” For “Export Week,” choose either “All Weeks” or “Preseason Week 1.” Check the boxes for “League Info” and “Rosters.” Click Export.
Export Players From Your Franchise (Step 4)	—			Click on “I’ve sent the export.” Verify the players on the export and then confirm.
Scheme Setter	scheme_setter.php			Select your Philosophy, roster construction, and backups strength. Once decided, pick your 6 selections and continue. Note: the site automatically assigns roles to your players for these scores — what do these scores mean?
Preseason	Preseason_hub.php			Set XP rates, set draft class weights, and see recommended players to upgrade via training camp. The progress table is manually updated — the site stores your progress but does not automatically complete steps for you.
Confirm Your Players' Roles	role_center.php			On the Role Center, adjust which players are starting at each role.
Set XP Rates	player_xp_rates.php	Open League Settings → XP Rates.		Use defaults, No Rating Inflation, or a custom rate. Note: No Rating Inflation has been tested out to 10 seasons with the league average overall growing less than 2 points over that span. Without it, roughly 80% of teams end up with 90+ Overall, Offense, and Defense ratings.
Set Draft Class Weights	Set_draft_weights.php	Open Set Draft Class Rates — and try not to look at the actual weights.		1: Confirm the range (with the default range, the highest overall in the draft is around 83, with about 5 players total over 80 overall). 2: The "ticks" mean you can close your eyes and use the D-pad or another tool to blindly set the weights. Note: these ratings are saved, and in follow-on seasons the adjustments build off last year's weights.
